The ISS (Iraqi Single Seater) Fury was a purpose-built export version of the Sea Fury produced by Hawker for the Iraqi Air Force. Unlike its carrier-based Royal Navy counterpart, the ISS Fury was configured specifically for land-based operations while retaining the remarkable performance, handling qualities, and unmistakable presence of the Sea Fury design.
This aircraft has been comprehensively restored and, importantly, retains its authentic powerplant configuration with the formidable Bristol Centaurus 18-cylinder sleeve-valve radial engine.
Maintained in flying condition and flown regularly, this Fury represents considerably more than a static restoration. It is a living example of one of the finest piston-engine fighters produced during the final generation of high-performance propeller-driven combat aircraft.
