The Virus SW 121A – Explorer is one of the most advanced aircraft in the light sport and training category. It represents the evolution of the proven SW 121 platform, combining over 30 years of Pipistrel’s experience in designing highly efficient, glider-inspired aircraft.
Its exceptionally clean aerodynamic design allows for outstanding performance with very low power requirements, resulting in reduced fuel consumption, low noise levels, and highly efficient operations without compromising capability. The aircraft is approved for intentional spins and Night VFR, offering excellent and predictable flight characteristics, making it ideal for both training environments and private operations.
The Explorer is built on a platform with more than 1,500 aircraft delivered worldwide, operating in a wide range of conditions—from high-altitude airports in Mexico to hot, humid, and coastal environments.
