The Partnership: This is a 50% co-ownership in a professionally managed aircraft. The existing 50% partner flies approximately 100 hours per year, and trips are scheduled well in advance — there are no surprise trips and no competing for weekends. Scheduling is handled through a shared Apple calendar and through Coast. Coast Air Center manages the aircraft out of KMYF, where it is kept inside a hangar with valet service, so maintenance, scheduling and hangar logistics are handled professionally rather than between owners. Direct operating and fixed costs are shared 50/50. Why the Share Is Available: The airplane was purchased new in 2023 largely to make it easy to visit college age kids in different states. For one of the partners that season has run its course and the half share is no longer needed. The remaining owner is staying with the aircraft, which continues to be based and managed at KMYF. For the Family: If you’re not the one flying, here’s what matters most. If something happens to the pilot, the airplane lands itself. Safe Return Emergency Autoland is a button on the ceiling. Press it and the aircraft selects an airport, flies the approach, lands, brakes and shuts down the engine — while communicating with air traffic control on its own. No training required, no experience needed. The entire airplane has a parachute. CAPS brings the whole aircraft down under canopy. It is standard equipment on every Cirrus ever built. The cabin is pressurized, air conditioned and quiet — seating for up to seven, climate control in the back, a 22″ entertainment display, and real room for luggage and dogs. No middle seats, no connections, no terminals.
