Airbus Tripset Mobile App Offers Travel Companion To Passengers Flying During Pandemic

Posted On: Wednesday, 31 March 2021

To help passengers navigate various circumstances and situations encountered while traveling during the COVID-19 pandemic, Airbus has released a free airport-, aircraft-, and airline-agnostic Tripset travel companion app that provides a wealth of information on current travel conditions, restrictions, and more. The ongoing COVID-19 global pandemic has introduced a novel of set of challenges for passengers that have left some feeling uneasy, uncertain, and uncomfortable with various aspects of travel. Airbus recognises this, which is why the aircraft and helicopter manufacturer has introduced the Tripset mobile app, designed to “help ease and restore” passenger trust when traveling during the pandemic. The app is freely available to install on iOS and Android devices from the Apple and Google app stores.

    Healthy Travels

Designed for use from the start of a journey to its end, Tripset helps passengers stay on top of current and relevant travel conditions, restrictions, and health requirements without having to reference multiple resources. Its architecture and user experience are based on Airbus’ iflyA380 app, an award winner for design. Airbus notes that because continuously evolving travel restrictions worldwide can pose challenges, the app provides real-time information to “ensure a healthy, safe, and smooth end-to-end trip.”

Tripset is airport-, aircraft-, and airline-agnostic. Along with information about currently available flights and destinations passengers can travel to, it offers information about what to anticipate upon departure and arrival. “Tripset is part of Airbus’ continuing commitment, alongside airlines, industry partners, and regulatory agencies, to encourage the flying public to keep trust in air travel, supporting the safe and well-coordinated return to flight, which is essential for economic recovery from COVID-19,” Airbus states.
